Hey there! My name is Kayla and I'm the owner and farmer here at Sunny Sill Flower Farm. I am so excited to offer locally and organically grown flowers to the community.
I’ve always loved flowers and making arrangements. When I was a kid I used to run around my yard and make little bouquets from wild ferns, tree branches, and whatever else I could scrounge up. Even though I loved flowers I never understood the impact they could have until after the birth of my daughter.
When my daughter was born I was so excited to be a mother, my heart was so full of love for my little girl but I, like many other women, was struggling mentally. One of the things that helped me through that time was cutting flowers from my yard and making little arrangements for around the house. It truly brightened my day seeing the flowers spread around the house.
That was the start of my dream for a flower farm. I want others to feel that same sense of joy when they see flowers on their window sill while doing the dreaded task of dishes or a reminder to breathe when you see them sitting on the table and it's dinner time so there's food being thrown on the floor or kids screaming in your ear. I want my flowers to be a light in a dark time, a reminder to take a breath and remember everything will be okay, be there to add life and color to any achievement or celebration. I am grateful and excited to spread flowers in the community and for them to be there for all the moments big and little, bad or good.
We believe that every one of us has an impact on our environment and here at Sunny Sill we are always doing what we can to be as kind to the earth and its inhabitants. We don’t use any chemical fertilizers or sprays and we are always working to find the most eco-friendly processes.
